Piccadilly Gardens ASB - (Anti Social Behaviour) Patrols by Spec Ops TAU.

Your Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team have been working with GMP Specialist Operations TAU - Tactical Aid Unit Officers, patrolling the Gardens today as part of the #Safe4Summer to heighten visibility and tackle crime in ‘hotspot’ areas.

TAU Officers carried out Weapons and Drugs Sweeps and Stop Searches, they recovered some knives and which have been seized for destruction. 

Inspector Kam Hare from the City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team said “ We’re determined to ensure the City Centre and Piccadilly Gardens is a safer place for everyone. The Safer Streets Summer initiative is a testament to our dedication to reducing crime and enhancing the quality of life for Businesses, Residents and Visitors to the City Centre, it is making sure everyone can enjoy themselves without feeling unsafe or being hurt”
